As it compares to ManyCam, SuperWebCam, Debute, and Microsoft LifeCam Softare...
ManyCam is the over all best but rates as fair to good.
Debute - As simple as it is, to me is better to use than manycam. Rates as a good.
SuperWebCam was to be my default webcam program. As I enjoy the few things I need it to do for me... Rates as Pretty to Very Good.
The only software I rate as a pile of crap ware is Microsoft's LifeCam software. It offers some effects, and that's it. Some basic camera adjustment points and nothing else.
No titles, no adding images, no anything that a user like me will actually make use of. It's crap. And, other than it does offer good low light handling better than others... It would be removed.
WebcamMax - rates as the ONLY software that I SpinergyDude on YouTube will use for 99.9% of my videos.

WebcamMax.com user review Hi, I downloaded this program mainly for the ability to change my background to something i would like better. Another certain free program does do something like this does, but nowhere near as well. Not with all the abilities to adjust each level of the effects aspects. Not only can you adjust the quality of the effects, you can move them anyplace on the video screen you wish to have them placed. The program is amazingly small for all the power it features, and offers way more options than the Microsoft LifeCam software that came with my webcam. I made this video to showcase what a NEW user like me to this webcam software can do in roughly 20 minutes. It took me as long or longer to set up the blanket background for me, as it did to find the tools to use to make the magic happen. The 30 day Trial is totally with every feature unlocked and adjustable. Only thing I can't do is SAVE any settings I like, and or save anything I can add to the collection of effects. I can't also delete any either. With that being the ONLY down to using the trail program oh and the cute banner at the top can't be turned off or moved. as well this denotes trial ware. I am sure happy I downloaded it, and tried it out. It surely sails past the abilities of these other decent offerings: SuperWebCam - Free or open source. Does a good job. Debute - Another free/open source option. ManyCam - A favorite of many people it is a free down graded version of ManyCam Gold which you need to buy. Now the above programs all offer tiny little things that make each worthy of keeping for your final video when your doing a video production. So these will be tools I use from time to time. The one program that FAILS to impress me at all and it is NOT just due to who makes it... Is: Microsoft LifeCam Sfotware. It is not even basic in it's effort to make use of the webcam I got any easier. No ability to layer text over a video, no ability to add an image or say a logo, or to do that cool background thing... Most of all it doesn't even offer what WE need to know most. File size as you record, and time of recording, and an Audio meter to keep your voice level even. At the very least these features are a total MUST HAVE on 100% all webcam softwares. What would help are Time LIMIT lock to shut the video off at a preset time you choose. A FILE size limit same deal as Time Limite lock... So for sites like YouTube who limit you to 100Mb iot would be great to stop at the limit. Offer all methods to compress, and convert the videos into formats we can upload as quickly as we wish... And so on. WebcamMax provides so far 100% of everything I need to say I will use this tool everytime I fire up my webcam. Way to go WebcamMax team you do have a product that does in fact meet all the expectations, claims, and hype that is posted on your site, and MORE! Link to WebcamMAX Spinergy
As of today 1-28-09 I have just downloaded and will install a new Webcam Softare to me called WebcamMax 5.1.0.6 to be exact. <br> Now that I finally have a webcamera I would try the included software. For starters the included software could featur such things as: TIME RECORDING - An AUDIO METER as to help keep your voice constant, a PAUSE button to pause a recording, and maybe a time limite to help prevent those over runs for sites that limit you to a length of time. Also a FILE size limit would rock as well. Those should be the bare bones basics for 100% all webcam software porgrams PERIOD. Now what would be nice to see insteas of say a bunch of overlays, some cute lens styled effects... MAYBE something like Text over video, the ability to add your own logo and place these things where you like. Those TWO things really need to be the next features seen in say 99.99% of all webcam programs. PERIOD. A really wonderfull feature that maybe do not matter to all people, but for those on a super tight or in my case I have no budget to afford a proper blue and or green screen. Although I can make one home made, but that still means buying them material to make it. So that is out of the question... CHROMA KEY or better still the ability to force the issue. Say you do the take snapshot of the backgorund without you in it... And, then the program lets you control the threshold, or you select ALL things not showing the background, and then now can include those colors to be covered as well. As if using a select loop in an art or paint program. That was when I pop back into the image it will not seem to be alive behind me. UNLESS I want it a motion or dynamic background. Those are not all of the tools I seek in one program naturally. I seek those and some more. I will see if WebcamMax lives up to all the HYPE the products website claims... Or will it fall as flat as the MICROSOFT CRAPWARE that came with my webcam? I am looking at ManyCam right now also... It is a little better than the webcam included software. I am looking at SUPERwebcam as well it is pretty decent. But lacks the chroma tools. I am also looking at Debute webcam software as well. Decent, and again lacking the chroma tools. All of these are way better than the MS software I got with my first webcam. A LifeCam which is rather good as it can handle low light, and sound, and also 30 frames a second very well. The review of Webcam Max will focus on these areas: How well the CHROMA tool compares to that on the FREE ManyCam. How fast and easy does this load on my PC and get me up and running. Debute and SuperWebCam move really fast on my P4 2.8Gh cpu w/512ram. MS software loads the slowest by far. And, offers the fewest features that I can see using. Will WebcamMax be the tool of choice for my LIVE BlogTV debute? Will it be my tool for normal video creation use? Does meet my needs for a virtual video production tool in the basic terms of using a webcam as a sort of TV cam? Stay TUNED: More WILL be posted HERE as I use the new software... Very few things invoke such deep passion as does our consititution, and things like the many little laws, rules, acts, and such like that WE THE PEOPLE need to know in order to make sure these are NEVER taken from us.
Think about this... When the US Consititution was made, it was no easy thing to prepare. And, it had to account for ALL of us, for well as long as WE THE PEOPLE protect ALL that is within the US Constitution.
Now, the way we came to realize we needed this written document was a hard fought bloody one. Why would you imagine this was the case?
This what seems to most people a random peice of paper... DEFINES the every essense of what it means to be an American. None of it has to do with race.
No matter who you are, as long as you live on American owned soil this document is what you are.
9/11 was a sad day in many ways. Much like a sad day years before on different terms... Pearl Harbor... Yes, that was a huge day for people in that era.
In order to actually KNOW, not just because we have 3,000 channels all showing Paris Hilton over and over or some other equally useless time filler on our PLASMA TV's the size of a small car filling a full wall... Eating out take out food because you lack the time to actually cook something for yourself... And, you call that freedom.
Get to KNOW our US CONSTITUTION. Inside and out. Why do that?
Well say for example certian freedoms are removed from it forever more. We the PEOPLE never being any the wiser will NEVER miss those freedoms... Well, until we ASSUME wrongly we still have them.
No I'm sorry you can no longer order take out... Sorry that huge TV eating all that power must go. Sorry that GUN you have a legal permit to carry and own... You can't have it now.
YES, some of this type of stuff can be BORING. That is why I locate people who know how to relate this type of information into terms people like ME for example can grasp.
If I can grasp it well enough to USE it... Guess what I bet millions of other people LIKE ME can do the very same thing.

HE IS! He wrote about one of if not the SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT DOCUMENT IN ALL OF THE UNITED STATES HISTROY! It's about ALL people living in it's soil.
Guess what at least some 60 million people I last counted one at a time and I think maybe about 72 million are people with disabilites who live in the US or on it's soil. So thes two people Jonathan Hennessey; Art by Aaron McConnell have everything to do with my efforts.
In fact one of the BIGGEST aspects of what I wanted to share was getting to know the US Constitution better. Now, guess what... It;s been done for me. And, thank goodness for that.
My writing and spelling is horrid, as is my grammar. Regardless of all of that inspite of all my disabilities here I am not giving up on myself or anyone who may read this.
Trust me my life is NOT any worse or better than your life. They are only different, that is all. What you can overcome may seem impossible to me. And, vise versa.
That is why I created AbiliTV a place where PEOPLE of ALL ABILITIES can overcome what seem impossible odds TOGETHER.
I suggest buying this book when it comes out Oct-21-08 whereever books are sold. No I'm not the writer or the other person. And, I didn't get a free copy for this either.

Kevin, all I will say you might have jumped the gun.
I know you're a good person and have a heart of gold. However, foot in mouth happens to everyone now and again.
I would suggest being a member for a support SCI board for a good year, as you get to know people on it. It's a slow process to learn all the little inside nooks of a place out.
This site is unlike those styles of sites. It offers the room for support if people wish to make use of it. But, it's not the main reasons I'm here.
You mentioned right off the top that "I just had the privledge of visiting a site that on the surface seems to have allot of information on SCI. Their community board seems vey active. I read a few posts and it seemed to me that many of the people were depressed there."
Off of a few posts you feel you could sum up an entire community of people. You might be correct or not, that is besides the point. Being that you are the noob or new person to the group one needs to first listen and then take it slow.
For one not everyone will be equally excited to hear someone they don't know say if you have faith you can walk, then it will happen. For if it was that simple for everyone I don't think we would have need for SCI support groups.
No need for Dr's and all the other things we have needs for.
Having a strong faith regardless of what someone may face in life is a great thing to have. And, this is what should be ecouraged.
However, some people heard enough about faith to last a lifetime or ten... And, feel GOD let them down. Or is letting them down. They have the right to be angry and upset with GOD for how life turned out for them.
In time all we can do is hope and pray they will find GOD again.
The time and place to discuss walking ideas and methods is not in a support setting. That's just a flame war ready to explode. Not everyone is able to find GOD as you have, and not everyone had the same injury either and may be beyond what our personal hopes and desires may be able to drum up.
I see nothing wrong in being excited about yourself having been paralyzed, and finding the power of GOD to help you back, and the inner strength to push it to the limits of your abilities to keep working on walking... That is an amazing thing Kevin, and one reason why I admire you.
Not everyone will be as open to hearing an excited person saying they did it and so can you if you have enough faith...
We can not judge someone else's faith because they might be wheelchair bound, and appear to be set in staying that way. Faith is within the heart and only you and GOD know what it really is. Sometimes not even we know how strong it is until we are pushed to the limits.
So for this one I agree with your closing statemen:
"I think all of us could stand to use a lesson of humilty. I am speaking to myself as well. We need to try and be sensative to the needs and cares of others and to try and not let all of our needs supercede the needs of those around us."
It took a real person, a real man to post this, and admit they might have jumped the gun.

Now you think how many people can be disabled that we know of today?
Well over 600 Million Worldwide.
That doesn't count the elderly able bodied people treated as badly as any disabled person. This doesn't count the homeless people who may also be disabled. This does not count people who do not even know they are disabled either. I never knew I was disabled for 35 years, and that was due to the disability being hidden.
Now people see my wheelchair and know I am disabled.
If we incuded all of these other people my market alone is well over 1 Billion People on this planet today.
This effort so far has one production company making a movie traler of the experience and adventures I went through to get to this point today. All to introduce you to the much bigger issues... And, no it's not about me.
NIKE is now somewhat aware of this effort. No even if they offered 30 Million dollars for this, or any amount... It's not for sale. Why?
I think it's about time someone show the world that sometimes MONEY can't be thrown at everything expecting it to solve the problem.
Money can't educate people. Money can resolve a problem. Money is not a lving thinking being like a human being is.
People can educate other people. People can resolve problems. People are thinking living beings... Money if so good and so great, then tell me something.
Why hasn't this issue been solved before now? Why did it take me to as NIKE likes to say "Just Do It!"?
