I saw this video on YouTube and while it gets some facts a little off, the overall idea is really nice, and is a great, and I reapeat a GREAT alternative to the standard tube styled framed wheelchairs we mostly see.

Just so that everyone knows what facts I mean:
1: Standard weight or Depot Style wheelchairs can weight as little as 35 to 36 pounds - Lightweight Depot style wheelchairs weigh about 35 pounds to 30 pounds. - Ultra Light Wheelchairs also known as Daily use or Active and Sports chairs weigh from 29 pounds to as low as 9 pounds. - All weights minus the wheels and cushions.

Now the sad thing is we have no one means or method to use as a standard model for wheelchairs. So even my information will be off compared to someone who views wheelchair weights differently. Let's just say that I created a scale or method that could be used to make one standard method possible to rate and qaulify wheelchairs. I know this because I used my own table to take on a multi billion dollar medical insurance company, and I was approved. So when it comes to this area, I am pretty good at it.

Now weight IS NOT the only factor to deal with, and features need to be addressed as well.

Center of Gravity - Seat Pan, and Seat Bucket are the main ones I can think of right off hand.

I am more than sure the Aero-Flight (myname for it) Ultralight Wheelchair tackles those issues with grace and style.

One of the coolest things I enjoy is that it is not your typical design. Where tubes are great for many thing, the design of this may just provide more comfort and other benefits for certian users than others.

Take me for example: My ride needs to be be smooth as silk as much as possible, well slap some Spinergy Wheels on this ride and the Soft Ride/Soft Roll front casters and this might give my current ride a run for the money.

The other really cool thing is you get a folding chair, with the qualities of a boxed rigid frame once it is open.

I would need to try one out for a few months as I did my current ride before I could pass final judgement on this, but from the video and my understanding of how things work, compared to how my medical needs work... If I ever get a shot to roll in one of these I will try it out.
