Thanks Jason for these great videos.

Dnews Presents: Jason Newland's Pain Free TV

My name is Jason Newland. I live in Colchester, Essex, England.
I am 37 years old. I'm currently a full time counselling student, just finishing my first year.
I am a hypnotherapist and Master practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic programming (NLP).

Chronic Pain
I have had an interest in chronic pain for 10 years. Ever since I started learning hypnosis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).

In the summer 2006 I saw clients for chronic pain relief. I offered a free sercvice. This was an incredible time for me and I was seeing between 2 and 4 people every week.
From the feedback that I recieved, I can say that I had a 100% success rate for reducing the physical pain in everyone I saw.
I enjoyed doing thechronic pain relief work and I hope to go back to doing it again at a later date. Right now, I'm happy offering sessions on this website as I can reach a much bigger audience worldwide. It seems that the majority of my free service users are from USA.

I have applied to volunteer for the local hospitals, chronic pain unit. I'm waiting to hear from them. I'd love to get the experience. It's my dream.

I am going to be doing a 11 week pain management course soon. That will be my first official pain management course, so I'm very excited about it.
I do intend to o more pain management courses over the next couple of years while I attend college. When I finish college and have my degree, I intend to do a degree in pain management. Then a masters. Possibly a PHD. ( a long way off.)

I think I'd like to get back to seeing real clients live in the next coup;e of years.

When I finish the second year (diploma) counselling course I intend to start seeing clients who have chronic pain. My intention is to only see clients who have chronic pain, that's going to be my speciality.

Relaxation
I became interested in helping people with relaxatin more recently. In 2003 I was in a stressful sales job and I started having panick attacks. At first I really had no idea what was hapening. The illness overtook my life for a few years. Less so in later years, after I had learned ways to deal with it.

Even though I had trained in all kinds of therapies and had been studying for years, I really found difficulty dealing with my own anxiety. I needed outside help.

In 2006 I started leading group relaxation sessions for a local charity, helping peiople with substance missuse issues. In 2007 I was asked by a drug rehab centre to do the same there. I dd that until I started college.

I enjoyed my time doing those groups. It lasted for nearly a year and a half. I learned a lot during that period.
In a way, that's where I cut my teeth inhelping people with relaxation issues, especially in group work.
